EDM challenge: draw a fire hydrant

I saw this fire hydrant on our Monday morning walk through the Old Port. I loved the turquoise and the yellow and who would not want to paint that shadow.

Great colors, indeed. Are they relatively realistic, or did you shift them? Artful composition.

Your work never ceases to amaze me. Don't ever stop or we'll all have to come over and pummel you (in a nice way, of course).

Hi,
I know this is a very strange subject to have painted. I'm still scratching my head over the decision to do it. Hmmmmmm.

Lydia—It is painted in oils.
Knitting Painter Woman— to my eye the colors are realistic...
Mark—You crack me up, but just so you know, I will never stop.

Thanks for stopping by—Jennifer

Beautiful color combination. Your work is so graceful and full of class, if it makes sense to describe artwork in that manner.

beautiful in its simplicity - and a great (and humorous) companion for your Sophie shadow sketch
