Summer solstice lobster bake

The fog lifted and we had the most beautiful evening for our family lobster bake at the beach. I managed this quick sketch of Smugglers Cove after we had gathered wood for the fire and wet seaweed to steam the lobsters, mussels, clams and corn. The light was so much prettier than this, but I was not staying focused with all the festivities going on around me. The curse of the extrovert!

Jennifer, you've got the perfect marriage of line and wash here---just enough, not too much, line and sweeping, strong washes. Small books such as the one you used here make me finicky, but not you! What size brush did you use----oh, I assume it was a Niji?

Nicely done.
Maine does have its lobsters, doesn't it. I remember going to a restaurant there and seeing lobster omlette on the menu, a first for me!
